Sports Nutrionist

Sports Nutrition is the study and practice of nutrition and diet as it relates to fitness and athletic performance. It is concerned with the type and quantity of fluid and food taken by an athlete and/or fitness enthusiats, and deals with nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, supplements and organic substances such as carbohydrates, proteins and fats.  Although an important part of many sports training regimens, it is most commonly considered in strength sports such as weight lifting and endurance training as well as in bodybuilding.  

Strength & Conditioning Trainer

As a Strength and conditioning coach, I am a professional who uses exercise prescription to specifically improve the performance in athletic competition. As a Strength Coach I also help athletes with injury prevention and proper mechanics within their sports performances.  I have worked with several area athletes who come to me to improve their overall athletic performance and/or who are referred to me by their team coaches.  Some of the sports that we work with are, Football, Soccer, Baseball/Softball, Mixed Martial Arts, Wrestling/Grappling, and Triathletes. 

Youth Conditioning Coach

Certified through the ISSA aproved Youth Athlete Performance Institute, Ronda is certified as a Youth Speed & Agility Trainer as well as a Youth Strength and Conditioning Trainer. 

Ronda has worked with local youth athletes for decades helping young boys and girls from ages 8 & up improve their athletic ability through drills, class training and personal training to help reach their goals and improve their overall performance.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor

BJJ Brown Belt under ATOS Black Belt and Maverick Training Center owner, Suzanne Ramsden.  

The Ross Martial Arts BJJ Curriculum offers Complete Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction that incorporates expert instruction in traditional and new techniques, live sparring, competition training and self-defense.

Ross Trainers are Certified instructors and offer the highest level of techniquie, discipline, and student safety with expert instruction!  Classes are held at Ross Martial Arts & Fitness Academy in Demopolis, AL.

TaeKwonDo Instructor

Amercian Sport TaeKwonDo Union certifies instructors and students in the Traditional and Combative style of Chang Hon TaeKwonDo, Competitive Kickboxing and Kickboxing Fitness and Self-Defense Tactics.

The ASTU curriculum incorporates expert instruction in traditional TKD, Kickboxing and Self-Defense utlizing proper techniques, live sparring, competition training and MORE!

ASTU Certified Instructors offer the hightst level of tehicniqu and discipline, and student safety with expert instruction.  Classes are held at Ross Martial Arts & Fitness Academy in Demopolis, AL.  

Ross is long standing TaeKwonDo and Kickboxing school in Demopolis and has some of the Highest ranking instructors in Alabama and offers the ONLY TaeKwonDo & Kickboxing school with a National and State Championship record!

MMA Coach

Ronda has trained with both amateur and professional fighters and has worked their corners in various events across the US. As an instructor, her knowledge and experience are invaluable for anyone wanting to learn the art of mixed martial arts and as a cut and cornerman her experience is invaluable for anyone in need of professional handling. 

ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer

It's no secret - fitness training has been proven to prevent disease, strengthen your health and improve your confidence and outlook on life. As an ISSA student working toward my certification to be a trainer, I'm learning about everything from muscle mechanics to flexibility and cardiovascular dynamics. So if you want to live a stronger and more confident life, I will soon have the training and the expertise to help you every step of the way.

Muay Thai Coach

Ronda has trained in Muay Thai for over 10 years under Kru Mark Deluca from the Yamasaki Academy in Woodbridge VA and has taught this incrediable art for the past 6 years in the Demopolis, Alabama area. 

Muay Thai is referred to as the "Art of Eight Limbs" or the "Science of Eight Limbs", because it makes use of punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, thus using eight "points of contact", as opposed to "two points" (fists) in boxing and "four points" (hands and feet) used in other forms of kickboxing such as International Kickboxing and Muay Thai also includes leg kicks and leg checks as opposed to American Kickboxing which only allows kicks above the waist.
